Help non-Catholic students and families understand our faith
Right here at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, California, one of my colleagues, a freshman theology teacher, does something I find amazing. JSerra has nearly 1,200 students, but only about 60 percent are Catholic. Every year, she invites the parents of her non-Catholic students to one-on-one meetings where she explains Catholic practices and answers any questions the parents might have. Parents have written to the administration saying how grateful they were for that quick introduction to all things Catholic.
