Great Ideas: We’re Lucky to Have You

Encourage your students to think positively about each other

From the TCT archives: Create a bulletin board filled with affirmations

To encourage the class to recognize the good qualities of their peers, we create a bulletin board filled with shamrocks. Each shamrock bears the name of a student. Beginning in late February, students start writing in their journals something special about each child in the class. The students then write their compliments in each child’s shamrock. When all have contributed their comments, the children receive their own shamrocks.
