Great Ideas: Service from the Heart

A Valentine’s Day service project for the whole school

From the TCT archives: “Bundles of Love”

Our students do an annual Valentine’s Day service project called “Service from the Heart.” The 8th- to 12th-graders spend their religion class sewing “Blankets of Hope” for needy children. Children in kindergarten through grade 7 donate small stuffed animals to be wrapped in the blankets and tied with ribbons to create “Bundles of Love.” For 16 years, we have given the bundles to local, national, and international charities.
