Honor the Blessed Mother through poetry
Try this Great Idea from the Spring 2018 issue of our magazine!
April is Poetry Month and May is the month we dedicate to our Blessed Lady. I like to combine the two during the last week of April by having the students write a cinquain (a five-line poem that does not rhyme) dedicated to Mary. It’s a way for the students to combine their love for Mary and their knowledge of language arts (writing, parts of speech, and so on). When the writing is done, the students decorate their poetry and display the poems around the room.
