Drop everything and pray: a Great Idea from the TCT archives

Teaching religion to middle-school students gets busy, and sometimes we forget time for prayer. The solution? A kitchen timer.

Students are in charge of setting the timer, which is set for various amounts of time. When the timer rings, we stop whatever we are doing and pray.

Two names are drawn at random for prayer leaders. They light our prayer candles and lead the class in spontaneous prayer. If we use seasonal meditation books, these students are the readers.
