Plan ahead for this back-to-school inspiration idea from the TCT archives.
To increase the sense of spirituality in my classroom, I pray for each of my future students during the summer, asking God to inspire me with a connection between a Scripture verse and each child.
At the beginning of the year, I assign a personal Scripture to each, write the reference on a piece of paper, and mount it to the front of the child’s locker. A bookmark on each desk inscribed with the student’s name and Scripture citation guides a child to find the proper locker and become familiar with his/her Scripture.
Years later, many former students still identify with their personal Scripture.
