Try this prayer challenge for Lent.
From the TCT archives: A Lenten activity for your class or the whole school
On Ash Wednesday, our pastor challenged students to pray during Lent for someone whom they ordinarily might not have thought of. The names of all students, teachers, and staff members were written on slips of paper, and the slips were placed in plastic Easter eggs. Each day during Lent, in every classroom, one name was drawn. Prayers could be said together orally or in silence. At the end of the day, in every classroom, a card signed by all the members of that class was given to the person for whom prayers had been offered that day.
