Help teens connect with their parents and understand the importance of the fourth commandment
In teaching the fourth commandment, “Honor your father and your mother,” tell students to get a pen and a piece of paper. Inform the students that they are free to write anything they would like to say to their parents. Tell them you won’t read their letters. After writing, ask them to seal their letter in an envelope. Then ask them to give it to their parents and invite their parents to write a reply letter. Ask them to share their experience afterward. Expect them to be more appreciative of their parents.
