Great Ideas: Catholic Q&A

Take the time to introduce the Faith to non-Catholic students and their families

“What is this Catholic thing?”

One of my colleagues, a freshman theology teacher, does something I find amazing. JSerra has nearly 1,200 students, but only about 60 percent are Catholic. Every year, she invites the parents of her non-Catholic students to one-on-one meetings where she explains Catholic practices and answers any questions the parents might have. Parents have written to the administration saying how grateful they were for that quick introduction to all things Catholic.
