Great Ideas: Baptism Anniversaries

Baptism Anniversaries

To acknowledge our call to be disciples of Jesus, we celebrate our baptism anniversaries. I make a chart with each month of the year and list each student’s baptism date (similar to a classroom birthday chart). This is displayed in our classroom. On a student’s baptism anniversary, he or she can bring in treats for the class. I give the celebrating student a small religious gift along with a prayer card inscribed with his or her name and baptism anniversary date. The students really enjoy celebrating the special days on which they became members of the Body of Christ.
